About the client
OneClickDrive is a UAE car marketplace where renters and buyers deal with the supplier directly rather than through an agent taking a cut. It lists rentals, cars for sale and chauffeur services from many providers, and has extended beyond Dubai into other markets.
What they needed
A marketplace has two customers at once. The renter wants to compare honestly and book quickly; the supplier wants enquiries that turn into rentals and a listing they can keep current themselves.
The comparison also has to be fair. If the platform quietly favours whoever pays most, renters work that out and stop trusting the listings.
What we built
A marketplace where the renter filters by what actually decides the booking, the car, the dates, the deposit terms and the mileage, and contacts the supplier directly from the listing.
Supplier tooling was treated as product rather than admin. A rental company can manage its fleet, availability and terms itself, because a marketplace where listings go stale is worse than no marketplace.
The listing pages were built to be found. Car rental search in the UAE is fought over model by model and city by city, so the page structure and the internal linking were designed for that from the start rather than retrofitted.
How we worked
We treated the two sides as two separate journeys with their own requirements, and tested them separately.
Search and page structure were agreed before the build, because on a marketplace the URL pattern is a commercial decision, not a technical one.
The platform, the data and the accounts are the client's, and the supplier tools are theirs to run.
