Jeddah food marketplaces that bring many kitchens to one checkout.

We provide online food ordering website development in Jeddah for operators who list several restaurants, seafood kitchens or home cooks on a single site and take a share of each sale. Diners order in Arabic or English from different kitchens, pay in one step, and follow the order to their door, hotel or office. Vendors manage their own menus, and you control onboarding, commission, payouts and the rules for refunds.

Jeddah mixes long settled Hijazi families, a large expatriate workforce and a constant flow of visitors arriving for business, the Red Sea coast and Umrah. A marketplace here has to read well for all three groups, on phones first, because most orders start on a mobile browser.

Built for

Platform capabilities

What a Jeddah ordering marketplace has to handle.

Jeddah stretches a long way along the coast, from the old trading lanes of Al Balad in the south to Obhur in the north. A kitchen near Al Balad cannot sensibly deliver to Obhur Al Shamaliyah, so delivery areas, preparation times and courier handover all need careful set up per vendor.

The city also has a wide mix of diners. Residents order family meals at weekends, office staff in Al Rawdah and along Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Street order at lunch, and visitors in hotels near the Corniche order late in the evening in a language that may not be Arabic. Some visitors are in transit to or from Makkah. The capabilities below reflect that mix. We usually build the vendor and payout side first, because the diner side is only as good as the kitchens behind it. A marketplace that pays restaurants late or unclearly loses its best vendors quickly, and diners notice when the good kitchens disappear.

Explain your project
  • Vendor applications with licence tracking

Kitchens apply through a form that collects their commercial registration, municipal permits, health certificates for staff where required, and IBAN. Your team reviews and approves each one. Expiry dates trigger reminders, and listings switch off automatically if a document lapses.

Only verified Jeddah kitchens appear to diners.

  • Coastal delivery areas and travel time

Each vendor sets delivery polygons rather than a simple radius, because traffic along the Corniche and on King Abdulaziz Road changes how far a courier can go. Delivery fees and minimum baskets can rise with distance, and diners see a realistic arrival window before they pay.

Delivery promises match what the road allows.

  • Fresh catch and daily menus

Seafood vendors can publish a daily list with weight based pricing and cooking styles, such as grilled, fried or sayadiyah rice. Items can sell out mid evening and drop off the menu without a phone call. Calorie and allergen fields are included, in line with SFDA rules for digital menus.

Diners only order what the kitchen actually has.

  • Visitor friendly ordering

Arabic first, with full English and optional extra languages for visitors. Guests can order to a hotel by choosing it from a list rather than typing an address, and add a room number and a phone number for the courier. Guest checkout avoids forcing an account for a one off order.

Visitors order without needing local knowledge.

  • One basket from several kitchens

Where your vendors share a food court or production site, diners can add dishes from more than one kitchen and receive them together. The order splits behind the scenes, each kitchen sees only its own items, and the courier collects from one pickup point.

Bigger family orders without separate deliveries.

  • Payments for residents and visitors

mada, Apple Pay, STC Bank and international Visa and Mastercard, processed by a payment provider licensed by SAMA. Tabby and Tamara can sit on catering orders. Foreign cards get the 3D Secure steps they need, and failed payments are retried before the order is released to a kitchen.

Both local and foreign cards complete at checkout.

  • Settlement and payout statements

Commission per vendor, delivery fee sharing, promotion costs and refunds are recorded on each order. Statements are produced for every payout cycle and paid through the provider's marketplace feature, so vendors can check each line against their own records.

    Fewer payout disputes with restaurants.

  • Tax invoices under ZATCA rules

Diner invoices and vendor commission invoices are produced in line with ZATCA Fatoora requirements and passed to your e-invoicing solution. VAT is shown clearly, and invoices are stored so your accountants can reconcile them later.

VAT records stay complete for every sale.

  • Support desk and order issues

A support view shows each order's history, courier position and messages. Agents can refund a line, credit the diner's wallet or reassign the order. Each decision records who is responsible for the cost, so it is deducted from the right party in the next settlement.

Problems are fixed in minutes and costed fairly.

  • Promotions funded by the right party

Vouchers, free delivery offers and set menus for Ramadan or long weekends can be funded by the platform, by a vendor or shared between them. The rule is stored with the promotion, so the cost lands on the correct settlement statement. Limits per diner and per day stop one offer from draining a small kitchen's margin.

Campaigns run without surprise deductions for vendors.

Where it fits

Four kinds of Jeddah operator who build their own ordering site.

Large delivery apps already serve Jeddah, so a new marketplace needs a reason to exist. The strongest reasons are a defined group of kitchens, a defined audience or a commission structure the vendors prefer. Food ordering platform development in Jeddah usually starts from one of the situations below, each of which shapes a different first release.

01

Seafood and fish market kitchens

Jeddah has a long seafood tradition, and many kitchens cook fish chosen by weight. A shared site lets several seafood restaurants list daily stock, take orders with weight based pricing and settle each sale through one platform. The marketplace can grow around a single theme that diners already associate with the city, rather than competing with general apps on every cuisine.

Weight based pricing needs a final price adjustment step after cooking, which we build in.

02

Hijazi and home style cooking networks

Families and small kitchens sell dishes such as mutabbaq, saleeg, ma'asoob and foul, and many diners want food that tastes like home. A network site gives those kitchens a shared storefront, order windows that suit small production, and collection by contracted couriers. Strong vendor verification protects the brand of the whole network.

Home based sellers need the correct municipal permit; confirm this before onboarding.

03

Hotel and serviced apartment dining partners

An operator can partner with several restaurants to serve guests in hotels and serviced apartments, with ordering by hotel name and room number and menus in several languages. Hotels gain an in room dining option without running more kitchens, and you take commission from the restaurants on each order. Hotels along the Corniche and in Al Hamra are a natural first group, because their guests often arrive late and want food that the hotel restaurant does not serve. The platform can also bill a hotel monthly for orders charged to rooms, if the hotel prefers that arrangement.

04

Food court and dining strip operators

Landlords and operators of food courts, dining strips and seasonal event zones can offer one ordering site for every tenant. Diners mix kitchens in one basket, collect from a single counter or get delivery, and each tenant is paid separately. The site also supports Jeddah Season events and busy holiday weekends. For temporary zones, vendors can be onboarded for a fixed period and removed cleanly afterwards, with their final payout and invoices closed out automatically.

From first call to a working Jeddah marketplace in six stages.

  1. 01Discovery by video callWe run discovery with your Jeddah team over video, mapping vendor terms, refund rules, payout cycles, delivery responsibility and the diners you most want to win.
  2. 02Compliance checklistWe list what applies: registering the online store with the Ministry of Commerce, PDPL consent and storage, ZATCA e-invoicing, SAMA licensed payments and Transport General Authority rules if you run couriers.
  3. 03Design for three audiencesOnline food ordering website design in Jeddah has to work for residents, expatriates and visitors, so we design the diner site, vendor console and admin in Arabic and English with right to left layouts first.
  4. 04Build and connectMenus, ordering, payment, payouts and invoices are built and connected to your provider, e-invoicing solution and any POS systems your vendors use.
  5. 05Soft launch with chosen vendorsA handful of kitchens go live in selected districts. We review acceptance times, delivery accuracy and payout statements with you before opening wider.
  6. 06Grow and maintainMore vendors, more districts and new features follow, with monitoring, security updates and performance work continuing after launch.

Technology

What we build this with.

The stack is chosen in discovery. Typical builds pair a fast web front end with a vendor console, a relational database for orders and settlements, a payment provider with split payouts, and hosting configured for PDPL and NCA requirements. Pages are kept light so menus load quickly on mobile data along the coast.

What Jeddah operators ask us first.

We agree it after discovery, once the provider, vendor rules and integrations are known.

A focused marketplace with one cuisine theme and card payments is faster to deliver than a general platform with hotel ordering, catering, home kitchens and courier dispatch. External steps often decide the date: approval from a payment provider for split settlement, e-invoicing onboarding and gathering vendor menus and photos. We schedule those in parallel with the build and record the agreed timing in the plan. If a launch date matters, such as the start of Ramadan or a Jeddah Season event, tell us early so the scope can be shaped around it.

Tell us what the business needs. We will tell you what to build first.
