POS systems built for Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran branches trading as one business.

Codeeo delivers POS software development Dammam companies use to sell across the Eastern Province's three connected cities. We build the checkout app for tablets and Android terminals, ZATCA Fatoora phase 2 invoicing, mada payments through your bank's terminal, shift and cash control, offline selling and a back office that treats a store in Dammam, a branch in Khobar and a counter near Dhahran as one operation with one set of figures.

Eastern Province trade has its own rhythm: industrial workers on rotating shifts, contractors buying on account, families from Bahrain shopping on weekends. A till designed for a Riyadh mall rarely fits that pattern without changes, so we start from how your branches actually sell. Each of those habits changes the screens we design.

What the POS can include

Checkout features matched to Eastern Province trade.

Many Dammam businesses do not look like typical shopping mall retail. A parts dealer on a busy commercial street sells to mechanics on credit and to drivers for cash. A supermarket near the industrial cities serves crews coming off night shifts. A Khobar boutique gets its busiest hours when visitors cross the King Fahd Causeway at the weekend. A contractor's staff store on a remote site may not see a stable internet connection for days.

We look at those patterns first and pick features to match. Everything below is available, but very few businesses need it all on day one. In discovery we sort the list into what your counters need now, what waits for the second release and what you do not need at all, so the budget goes to the parts that change daily trading.

Explain your project
  • Account sales for contractors and workshops

Regular business customers buy on credit against an account with an agreed limit and price list. The till checks the balance, records the purchase order reference and issues a standard tax invoice for ZATCA clearance with the buyer's VAT number. Statements and overdue balances appear in the back office for your collections team. Accounts on hold are blocked at the till with a message to call the office.

Credit sales recorded properly rather than in a notebook beside the till.

  • Parts lookup by number and vehicle

For automotive and industrial suppliers, items are found by part number, supplier code, alternative numbers or vehicle make and model. Cashiers see stock in the branch and in the other Dammam, Khobar or Dhahran locations before telling a customer to try elsewhere. Superseded part numbers redirect to the current item, so old catalogues and handwritten notes still lead to the right shelf.

Faster answers at the counter and fewer lost sales to a competitor down the road.

  • Fatoora phase 2 by default

Every device registers with ZATCA and stamps its own invoices. Simplified invoices carry the QR code and are reported in the background; standard invoices are cleared before they are handed over. Credit notes reference the original invoice, and failed submissions raise an alert instead of being quietly skipped.

Tax records you can defend in an audit, from every branch.

  • mada terminal integration

The POS sends the total to the bank terminal and records the approval with the sale, covering mada, international cards for Bahrain and other GCC visitors, and wallets the terminal accepts. Settlement reports from the bank can be matched against the system's card totals by branch and by day. Refunds go back to the original card through the terminal, linked to the first sale.

Card reconciliation that takes minutes, not an afternoon.

  • Round the clock shifts

Stores serving industrial workers often trade all night. Three shift patterns, overlapping handovers and blind cash counts are supported, and the trading day closes at whatever hour you define. Supervisors see each drawer's variance and the cashier responsible. Cash drops to the safe during long night shifts are logged with the supervisor who received them.

Clean handovers even when the store never closes.

  • Offline mode for remote sites

Site canteens and staff stores far from the city can sell for long periods without connectivity. Invoices are stamped and stored on the device, then submitted to ZATCA and synced to the back office once a connection is available, with a warning if any device falls behind on reporting.

Remote counters keep trading and stay compliant.

  • Employee badge purchases

For company stores and canteens, staff can pay by scanning an employee badge against an allowance or a monthly account settled by the employer. Limits, eligible items and the billing cycle are set per company, and personal data is handled under the PDPL. Lost badges can be blocked from the back office immediately.

Workforce purchases tracked per employer without cash at the counter.

  • Shared stock across the three cities

Sales update stock for each branch as they happen, and transfers between Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran are recorded at the till when goods arrive. The POS keeps sales and stock movement accurate without becoming a full warehouse system. Detailed stock control belongs in your inventory or ERP system, which the till feeds.

Branch stock figures you can rely on when quoting a customer.

  • Weekend visitor promotions

Offers can be scheduled for weekend peaks in Khobar or around the corniche, limited to chosen branches and hours, and measured afterwards. Cashiers do not apply discounts by hand; the till applies the rule and shows the saving on the receipt. Results show which branches and hours the offer actually moved.

Promotions that are applied consistently and can be measured.

  • Group reporting

Owners and finance see sales, margins, credit exposure and VAT by branch, city and customer type. Exports go to your accountant or post directly to your ERP, with branches mapped to cost centres. Daily summaries can be sent to owners at closing time without anyone logging in.

Who this is for

Where a custom POS pays off in the Eastern Province.

These four situations account for most of the POS work we discuss with Dammam businesses. Each needs something that packaged retail software tends to handle badly, whether that is credit accounts, parts search, employer billing or connectivity. If your business does not fit any of them and your current subscription works, keep it. Discovery and design reviews for Dammam run by video call with your owners, branch managers and cashiers.

01

Automotive and industrial parts dealers

Your counters serve workshops, fleet operators and walk-in drivers, often with thousands of part numbers and several alternatives for each. Most of your value is in fast lookup, account pricing and credit control. We design the till around search and accounts first, and make sure clearance of standard invoices for business buyers never slows the counter. Quotations raised at the counter can be converted to a sale later without retyping items.

Lookup and credit first, checkout speed close behind.

02

Supermarket and convenience chains near the industrial cities

Branches near MODON's industrial cities and along the main highways serve shift workers at every hour. Baskets are small, cash is still common and queues form at shift change. You need quick scanning, weighed items, round the clock shift control and simple reporting that a branch supervisor can read on a phone. Price changes from head office reach every branch at once, so a Dammam store and a Khobar store never charge differently by mistake.

Shift control matters as much as checkout speed.

03

Operators of staff stores and site canteens

If you run catering or retail for employers on industrial or energy sites, you sell to workers under each employer's rules. Badge payment, allowances, monthly billing per company and offline selling are the core features. We build the employer billing and the till together so invoices to each company match what workers actually bought. Devices on site can be swapped by your own team using a guided setup.

Employer billing and offline selling built in from the start.

04

Retail brands in Khobar's malls and high streets

Fashion, electronics and home brands in Khobar see residents on weekdays and Bahrain visitors at weekends. Exchanges between branches, gift cards, loyalty by mobile number and international card acceptance matter here. We connect the boutique tills to your online store if you run one, so customers are recognised wherever they shop. Weekend staffing can be planned from the hourly sales reports.

Cross branch exchanges and visitor payments handled cleanly.

  1. 01Discovery callsVideo sessions with owners, finance and branch staff, supported by recordings of real sales, map account customers, shift patterns and each branch's connectivity.
  2. 02Rules before screensCredit limits, employer billing, invoice types, price lists and approval rules are written down and agreed, because they drive the design more than layouts do.
  3. 03Counter designArabic and English cashier screens are tested remotely with your staff on the actual terminals, including parts search and account sales, until a new cashier can use them unaided.
  4. 04Build and connectWe build checkout, offline storage, Fatoora integration, the terminal link and ERP or accounting connections in fortnightly releases you can install and try.
  5. 05Pilot and onboardingOne branch runs live with production ZATCA certificates while daily totals are compared against the old system and supervisors are trained over video.
  6. 06Rollout across the citiesBranches in Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran move over in an agreed order. Monitoring, fixes and improvements continue on a retainer after the last go live.

Technology

What we build this with.

The till is usually a cross platform app for Android terminals and tablets with a local database for offline sales, connected to a cloud back office. Hosting location, printers, scanners and ERP connections are chosen around what you already run and who will support it after launch. Rugged handheld devices are an option for site stores and dusty warehouse counters.

Questions Dammam businesses ask before building a POS.

It depends on scope, integrations and the number of branches.

A first release for one branch with checkout, Fatoora phase 2 and the bank terminal moves faster than a build that also includes credit accounts, employer billing and ERP posting. Other factors are the number of terminal models, the size of your product catalogue and how quickly ZATCA onboarding and pilot testing complete. We set out each phase during discovery and agree dates in writing before design starts.
