National membership platforms for Saudi sports clubs, venue chains and associations.

Codeeo provides sports membership website development Saudi Arabia operators can run across many cities from one platform. We build Arabic first membership sites for club groups, padel and fitness chains, academy networks, supporters' programmes and sports associations: tiers sold online, renewals through mada, Apple Pay and STC Bank, members only content, and a portal where every member manages their own plan. Underneath sit the national requirements that matter, from the PDPL to ZATCA e-invoicing.

A single venue can get by with a booking tool and a payment link. An operator with branches in several regions cannot. Rules, prices, invoices and data protection have to work the same way in every city while still allowing local plans.

Built for
Club groups, padel and racquet chains, academy networks, supporters' programmes, sports associations and operators expanding membership sales across Saudi regions.
Typical timeline
Agreed after discovery, in person in Riyadh or by video call elsewhere, once the rollout order of cities, payment setup and data migration are clear, and written into the scope.
What you own
The platform code, the national member database, gateway and e-invoicing accounts, domains and every design file, all held in accounts registered to your organisation.

What a national membership platform includes

One membership system that works the same in every Saudi city.

Sport has become a national priority in Saudi Arabia, with the Quality of Life Program under Vision 2030 encouraging participation and private investment in clubs, venues and academies. That growth means more operators running several sites in different regions, and more members who expect to join, pay and manage their plan online in Arabic. The difficult part is not the join page. It is keeping tiers, prices, branch rights, invoices and consent records consistent as you open in a new city, while letting each region run its own promotions.

These are the parts we design for national operators. They are listed roughly in the order that most affects the architecture, so the early items tend to be decided first in discovery.

Explain your project
  • National tier architecture

A central catalogue of tiers with national, regional and single branch variants. Head office defines the core plans and rules; regional managers add local offers within limits you set. Every plan carries its own benefits, branch rights, duration, freeze policy and cancellation terms. Retired plans stay valid for members on them.

New cities launch with plans already in place.

  • Branch rights across regions

Members can hold a home branch, a regional pass or a national pass, so someone who moves from Riyadh to Jeddah or travels to the Eastern Province for work keeps training. Access status is shared with every branch's reception and gate system. Usage by branch feeds your reporting and planning.

Members follow their lives, not a single location.

  • Identity verification with Nafath

For associations, competitions or plans where identity must be confirmed, the join flow can verify members through Nafath, the national single sign on, via an approved integration provider. Other plans keep a lighter sign up with mobile number verification. Verification status is stored against the member record.

Verification only where the plan truly needs it.

  • Saudi payments and renewals

Checkout through a SAMA licensed gateway with mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and STC Bank, tokenised renewals, retries and self service card updates. Tabby and Tamara instalments are available for annual plans where your provider approves the category. Receipts arrive instantly in the member's language of choice.

Members pay the way they already pay nationwide.

  • ZATCA e-invoicing and VAT

Every payment produces an e-invoice that meets ZATCA Fatoora requirements, issued by the platform or by your accounting system through an integration, with VAT applied correctly to plans and add ons. Corporate clients receive standard tax invoices with their VAT number. Credit notes for refunds follow the same process.

Invoicing stays compliant as volumes grow.

  • PDPL consent and data controls

Privacy notices and consent records in Arabic and English, marketing preferences members can change themselves, data subject requests handled through the admin panel, and role based access so a branch manager only sees their own members. Retention periods are set per data type, and deletion requests are logged with who handled them.

Personal data handled to the PDPL from the first sign up.

  • Hijri and Gregorian calendars

Renewal dates, season starts and Ramadan timetables shown in both calendars where members expect it, with the billing engine working consistently underneath. Promotions can be scheduled around Ramadan, Eid and national holidays. Weekends follow the Saudi Friday and Saturday pattern, so reminders and campaigns never land on the wrong day.

Dates make sense to every member.

  • Members only content and events

Coaching programmes, match and training video, national events and members' news gated by tier, with regional content for each city. Free registration can preview content and invite visitors to upgrade. Coaches and media teams publish through the CMS, each item tagged to the tiers and regions allowed to see it.

Content that keeps members engaged between visits.

  • Member portal

Plan, branches, family members, invoices, freeze days, renewal date and upgrade options in one place, with Arabic as the default and English available. Members change their plan without contacting any branch. It is built mobile first, since most members will reach it on a phone, and loads quickly on mobile data.

Branch staff spend time on members in front of them.

  • Head office reporting

Income, joins, lapses, freezes and renewals by region, branch, plan and payment method, with exports for finance and a view for each regional manager limited to their own area. Scheduled reports can be emailed to regional managers each week, so they act on lapses and freezes without logging in.

Head office sees the whole network in one place.

Who this is for

National operators we build membership platforms for.

The Saudi sports market now includes private clubs, venue chains, academies and associations that work in several regions at once, alongside public bodies and federations. A membership platform for this kind of operator has to respect national rules while giving each region room to sell. These four situations are where a national platform pays off most clearly, and each points to a different first release. Most operators also share a common need: Arabic first pages, Saudi payment methods, compliant invoices and member data handled properly, regardless of which city a member joins from.

01

Venue chains opening in new cities

Padel, racquet and multi sport chains that started in one city and are opening in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and beyond need a membership system that scales branch by branch. We design the tier catalogue, branch rights and regional permissions so each new site is configured rather than rebuilt, and reporting compares branches fairly from their opening day. Members of an existing branch can be offered a national upgrade as soon as a new city opens. Opening order and timing are planned with you, so payment and staff setup are ready before each launch.

Each new city is set up, not rebuilt.

02

Academy networks

Football, swimming and martial arts academies running programmes in several regions sell terms and seasons to parents across the country. They need consistent rules on age groups, sibling plans and refunds, with local coaches managing their own squads. We give head office control of plans and pricing logic while branch staff handle enrolment and attendance for their own groups. Parents who move between cities can transfer a child's place to another branch without losing the term already paid. Waiting lists for full squads are handled per branch.

Central rules, local squads.

03

Supporters' and fan membership programmes

Clubs with a national following sell supporter tiers to fans in every region and abroad, combining content, priority ticket windows, merchandise benefits and events. Demand spikes around big fixtures, so we plan capacity and load testing for those moments, and pass member status to ticketing partners where they run separate systems. Fans abroad can join with international cards, and content can be released by tier so the most loyal supporters see it first. Supporter data is kept separate from ticket purchases where partners require it.

Prepared for national match days.

04

Associations and community sports bodies

Associations, community leagues and recreational sports bodies sell annual memberships that often need identity checks, age categories and affiliation to a club or region. We add Nafath verification where required, clear membership certificates members can download, and renewal reminders timed to the start of each season. Regional committees can see and manage their own members while the association keeps one national register. Members download their certificate from the portal whenever a club or event asks for proof of membership, and renewals keep the register current.

How a national membership platform is delivered.

  1. 01National discoveryHead office, regional managers, finance and front desk staff walk us through plans, contracts and regional differences, in person in Riyadh or by video call for teams in other cities.
  2. 02Rules and compliance designTiers, branch rights, freezes and cancellations become one written rule set, reviewed against PDPL obligations, e-commerce law requirements and your published terms. Your legal adviser then confirms the final wording.
  3. 03Arabic first design systemA shared design system for join pages, comparison tables and the portal, right to left first, so every region and every future branch uses the same tested components. Accessibility is checked at component level.
  4. 04Payments, invoicing and registrationGateway onboarding, tokenised renewals, ZATCA Fatoora integration and registering the online store with the Ministry of Commerce are completed alongside the build. Settlement and invoice data are tested together in a staging environment.
  5. 05Pilot region launchOne city or region goes live first with migrated members, so issues with rules, payments or data are found and fixed before the wider rollout. Branch staff are trained before go live.
  6. 06Regional rolloutRemaining regions are configured and launched in planned waves, with staff training, member activation campaigns and reporting checked after each wave. Lessons from each wave improve the one that follows.

Technology

What we build this with.

We choose the stack around scale, your existing booking, access and ERP systems, and the team who will own the platform. Expect established web frameworks, a secure database, a SAMA licensed gateway and hosting agreed with you, with data residency in Saudi Arabia where your policies require it. The admin panel is built for non technical staff at head office and in the branches, with permissions that separate content, plans, pricing and payment settings.

Questions national operators ask about membership platforms.

The rules, permissions and reporting have to scale across regions.

A single venue needs plans, payments and a portal. A national operator also needs a central tier catalogue with regional variants, branch rights that follow members between cities, regional manager permissions, consolidated invoicing and reporting by region. We design these first, because adding them after launch usually means rebuilding the member model and migrating everyone twice. It also means deciding early which settings belong to head office and which each region may change, so a local promotion in one city cannot accidentally alter prices or terms everywhere else.
