Warehouse software for Riyadh fulfilment centres, retail hubs and pharma stores.

Codeeo delivers warehouse management software development Riyadh distributors and fulfilment operators use to keep fast moving stock under control. The system directs receiving, slotting, picking, packing and dispatch through handheld scanners, and gives managers a live view of every order, location and task. Because our Riyadh team can work on site with you, we design around the building you actually run, from mezzanine pick faces to the dispatch lanes your couriers queue at each evening.

Riyadh is where national retailers, online brands and distributors keep their central stock, so volumes are high and order profiles change quickly. Software that cannot keep up turns every promotion into overtime. We build systems that let the floor scale without losing accuracy.

Core modules

Built for volume, speed and accuracy in the capital.

Most large Riyadh warehouses sit in the industrial and logistics districts to the south and east of the city, such as Al Sulay and the MODON industrial cities, or in the newer Special Integrated Logistics Zone that GACA runs near King Khalid International Airport. Containers from the Gulf coast often reach the capital by rail into Riyadh Dry Port. Inside the building, the challenge is throughput: thousands of order lines a day, short courier cut offs and stores waiting for replenishment. The modules below are the ones that make the biggest difference to a Riyadh operation, and we usually pick five or six for the first release after watching your shifts in person.

Explain your project
  • Velocity based slotting

The system studies how often each product is picked and suggests moving the fastest lines to the most reachable pick faces near dispatch. Slow movers go higher or further back. Supervisors approve each move list, and the app guides staff through the relocations during quiet hours.

Shorter walking routes and faster picks on the busiest lines.

  • Wave, zone and batch picking

Orders are released in waves timed to courier collections. Large sites split waves by zone, so pickers stay in their area and totes travel to a consolidation point. Small single item orders can be batch picked onto one trolley and sorted at the bench.

More orders shipped per shift with the same floor team.

  • Pack bench scan and weight check

Packers scan every item into the parcel, and the system can compare the parcel weight on a connected scale against the expected weight. Mismatches stop the parcel before labelling. Packaging suggestions reduce oversized boxes, which matters when couriers charge by volumetric weight.

Wrong and missing items are caught before the parcel leaves.

  • Courier manifests and handover

Parcels are sorted into lanes per courier, and each lane produces a manifest the driver checks by scan at collection. Any parcel not scanned out is flagged immediately. Proof of handover sits with each order, ready for customer service if a delivery is disputed.

Clear proof of which courier took which parcel, and when.

  • Dark store and branch replenishment

Quick commerce operators and retail chains often feed small stores or dark stores across Riyadh from one central building. The system calculates replenishment from branch sales or minimum levels, builds pick lists per store and plans vehicle loads by district.

Branches receive what they need before shelves run empty.

  • Serial number capture

Phones, laptops, network kit and appliances are scanned by serial at receipt and again at dispatch, so each unit is traceable to a customer order. RFID gates at dock doors can read tagged cases without unpacking them, which speeds up high value inbound loads.

Every serialised unit has a full history in the warehouse.

  • Batch, expiry and recall control

For pharmaceutical, medical and cosmetic stock, batch and expiry are captured at receipt and enforced at picking. If a supplier or the SFDA announces a recall, the system shows where every affected unit sits, which orders shipped it and which customers received it.

A recall becomes a report, not a frantic search.

  • Bonded and duty status records

Operators in the Special Integrated Logistics Zone or other bonded facilities can tag stock by customs status and keep it apart from duty paid goods. Movements between statuses are recorded with documents attached, giving your broker a clean audit trail.

Customs status is visible on every pallet.

  • Labour planning and task interleaving

Managers see forecast workload by hour and assign staff to receiving, picking or replenishment. The system interleaves tasks, so a forklift driver who finishes a putaway is sent straight to a nearby replenishment instead of returning empty.

Fewer idle trips and a floor plan that matches the order book.

  • Rail and container inbound

Inbound containers railed from the coast into Riyadh Dry Port can be booked in against expected arrival, with dock slots planned before the trucks leave the port. Receivers see the advance notice on the handheld and scan against it line by line.

Inbound is planned rather than discovered at the gate.

Who it suits

Four Riyadh operations that gain the most.

Riyadh's warehouse market is broad, from huge retail distribution centres to compact fulfilment units. A custom build is worth it when your volumes, service promises or product rules are beyond what a packaged system handles without constant workarounds. These four situations are the ones we meet most in the capital. Because our team is based in Riyadh as well as Dubai and Karachi, discovery for each of them can start with a visit to your floor.

01

An online fulfilment provider

You pick and pack for many brands, each with its own store platform, packaging rules and couriers. Peak sales days push the floor to its limit. We build multi client order intake, wave release by courier cut off, pack bench verification and client billing. Each brand gets a portal showing stock, orders and returns. When a new brand signs, onboarding is a configuration task for your team rather than a development project. Returns and exchanges, which spike after big sale weekends, get their own flow so they do not clog the main dispatch lanes.

Most fulfilment clients add returns grading in the second release.

02

A retail chain's central distribution centre

Your Riyadh building replenishes stores across the city and beyond. Store managers complain about short deliveries and wrong items, and the distribution centre has no clear view of what each branch really needs. We connect branch sales to replenishment, build store pick lists, plan cross docking for supplier deliveries that go straight to branches, and give branch staff an app to confirm receipt by scan. Head office then sees fill rates per branch and can tell whether shortages start at the supplier, the distribution centre or the store itself.

03

A pharmaceutical or medical distributor

You supply hospitals, pharmacies and clinics, and every batch must be traceable. Temperature controlled rooms sit beside ambient stores. We design batch and expiry control, quarantine and release, recall reports and temperature records with your quality lead, so the system supports your SFDA obligations. The licensed responsibility stays with your team; the software makes the evidence easy to produce.

Your quality lead signs off every rule before go live.

04

An electronics distributor near the airport

You handle high value, serialised products, some held under bonded status in the Special Integrated Logistics Zone. Losses and serial mix ups are expensive. We build serial capture at receipt and dispatch, RFID reading at dock doors, customs status tracking and secure cage locations with restricted access. Reports show every unit's path through the building, which makes audits and insurer questions far easier to answer.

Six stages, starting on your Riyadh warehouse floor.

  1. 01On site discoveryOur Riyadh team spends time on your floor across shifts, watching receiving, picking and dispatch, talking to supervisors and collecting order data, layouts and current reports.
  2. 02Data and volume studyWe analyse order lines, product velocity and peak days from your history, so slotting rules, wave sizes and device numbers are based on evidence rather than assumptions.
  3. 03Flow and screen designEach task is designed as a short series of scans and confirmations, in Arabic and English, then tested on paper prototypes with your pickers and packers before code is written.
  4. 04Build in short cyclesWe build the handheld app, dashboards and integrations in short cycles, demonstrating working software every fortnight in your warehouse and adjusting from floor feedback.
  5. 05Go live outside peakLaunch is scheduled away from Ramadan, White Friday and other peaks. Opening stock is counted into new locations, and our team supports the first shifts on site.
  6. 06Measure and improvePick rates, accuracy and dock times are tracked after launch. We review them with you each month and plan the next improvements from the numbers your own team sees.

Questions Riyadh warehouse teams ask before they start.

Yes, our Riyadh team runs discovery and launch support on site.

We prefer to see a warehouse working before we design for it. Our team spends time on your floor across different shifts, watches how receiving, picking and dispatch actually run, and talks to the people doing the work. During launch we are on site for the first shifts, so problems are fixed quickly and staff have someone to ask while they learn the new screens. Between visits, reviews run by video call so your supervisors do not have to leave the floor for every decision.

Tell us what the business needs. We will tell you what to build first.
