One courier booking platform that quotes, takes payment and routes jobs across the UK.

Codeeo handles courier booking website development in the UK for regional couriers, multi-depot networks and franchise groups that want every booking quoted, paid and assigned online. We build the national quote engine, the booking and checkout flow, business accounts and the admin that sends each job to the right depot. A UK courier has to price a same-day job inside one city, a next-day parcel to the Highlands and a pallet to Belfast on the same site, and stay within consumer, payment and data protection law in all four nations while doing it.

We have no UK office. Codeeo's team of 80+ in Dubai, Riyadh and Karachi works remotely with UK clients, and discovery, design reviews, testing and training all take place by video call. The method is the one behind 200+ projects delivered across the UAE and the US.

What a national platform needs

The parts that let one site sell courier work in every postcode area.

A booking site for one city can get away with a short list of postcodes and a single rate card. A national courier cannot. Prices change between the mainland, the Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland and offshore islands; collections depend on which depot covers the sender; and account customers expect one login and one invoice whichever depot did the work. Courier online booking system development across the UK is therefore about structure as much as screens. The capabilities below are the foundation for most national and multi-depot operators. In discovery we map your network, your products and your customers, then agree which parts launch first and which follow as more depots join the platform. The aim is a platform your head office controls centrally, while each depot still manages its own capacity and local jobs.

Explain your project
  • Address lookup and validation

Senders type a postcode and pick an address from a lookup based on Royal Mail's Postcode Address File through a licensed provider. Bad postcodes, missing building numbers and addresses your network cannot serve are caught before payment, which cuts failed collections and returned parcels across the country.

Fewer jobs fail because of a mistyped address.

  • National zones and surcharges

Pricing zones cover mainland England, Wales and Scotland, the Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly and other offshore areas. Each zone carries its own rates, transit times and service options, edited centrally by head office.

Remote deliveries are priced correctly instead of absorbed as a loss.

  • Depot allocation

Each booking is matched to the depot that covers the collection postcode, using its own cut-offs, vehicles and capacity. Jobs that cross regions are split into collection, trunk and delivery legs in the background, while the sender sees one price and one booking.

A new depot joins the platform by adding its coverage, not a new website.

  • Full price from the first screen

Since April 2025 the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 has banned drip pricing. Fuel surcharges, remote area charges, clean air zone costs and any other mandatory fees are built into the first price shown. Consumer prices include VAT; trade accounts can see prices before VAT if your terms say so.

Your pricing holds up to scrutiny from customers and regulators.

  • Cards, wallets and Pay by Bank

Courier online payment integration for the UK market means cards with Strong Customer Authentication, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Pay by Bank built on Open Banking where your provider supports it. Payments settle into your merchant account, with refunds and partial refunds run from the admin.

Checkout works for every sender, from consumers to sole traders.

  • Business accounts and Direct Debit

National customers get one account with users across many sites, purchase order fields and monthly consolidated invoices. Payment can be collected by Bacs Direct Debit through a provider such as GoCardless, with mandates set up online during account registration.

Large customers pay reliably without chasing.

  • Regular collection plans

Customers can book a standing daily or weekly collection with automatic billing. The DMCC Act's rules for subscription contracts are expected in 2027, so plans are built with clear sign-up information, reminders and an easy way to cancel, ready to adjust once the detail is final.

    Recurring revenue without recurring paperwork.

  • VAT invoices and accounting

Every paid booking produces a VAT invoice with your VAT number and the correct rate. Sales and refunds flow to Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or your ERP, so your Making Tax Digital returns are based on clean records rather than retyped totals.

Finance closes the month from data, not spreadsheets.

  • Roles for head office and depots

Head office controls national pricing, terms and payment settings. Depot managers control local capacity, cut-offs and jobs, and franchisees see only their own customers and takings. Every change is logged with the user and time.

Central control with local flexibility, and a clear audit trail.

  • Accessible and bilingual pages

Booking pages are designed and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA, supporting duties under the Equality Act. If you serve Wales and want to, the public pages and confirmations can be offered in Welsh as well as English, with content managed side by side.

The site works for more customers across all four nations.

Who we build for

UK courier businesses running more than one place from one platform.

National booking platforms make the most sense when you have several depots, several products or several types of customer, and the current mix of websites, phone lines and spreadsheets no longer adds up. They also suit growing regional firms that want to open new depots without building a new website each time. The four profiles below cover most of the national operators who approach us. In discovery we look at how bookings currently arrive in each region before recommending a single platform or a phased move.

01

A regional courier opening new depots

You started in one city and now run depots in two or three more. Each has its own phone number and price list, and customers who use more than one get confused. A national platform gives every depot the same booking site, the same checkout and the same account area, while each keeps its own coverage and capacity. Opening the next depot becomes a set-up task in the admin, and national customers see one brand and one invoice.

We usually launch with one depot, then add the rest in stages.

02

A franchise or licensed network

Franchisees run their own territories under your brand, and bookings need to reach the right one with the takings attributed correctly. The platform routes each job by postcode, shows franchisees only their own customers and income, and gives head office national reporting. Payment can be collected centrally and reconciled per franchise, depending on your franchise agreement and how your payment provider supports split settlement.

Settlement models need sign-off from your accountant and provider.

03

A business courier for retailers and suppliers

Your customers are retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers sending to stores, trade customers and homes across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. They need bulk bookings, saved collection points, API access for their own systems, consolidated invoices and Direct Debit. A national platform with these account features lets their teams book at scale, and lets you sell new services to them without new paperwork.

API access for customers is scoped separately.

04

A pallet or large item carrier

You move pallets, furniture or awkward items between businesses and homes nationwide, often through partner hubs. Bookings need dimensions, weights, tail lift and two-person options, and prices that vary by zone. The booking site captures all of that, prices it from your tables, takes payment or charges the account, and passes the job to your network system. Remote and offshore deliveries are priced up front rather than corrected after collection.

Network integrations depend on your partner's systems.

How we build and roll out a UK courier booking platform

  1. 01Network mappingOver video calls we map your depots, coverage, products, zones, surcharges and customer types, and the systems each depot uses today, so the platform reflects the network you actually run.
  2. 02National pricing modelRates, zones, surcharges, VAT treatment and account terms are turned into one pricing model, then checked against a large sample of real quotes from every region.
  3. 03Booking and account designCourier booking website design for the UK covers consumer, trade and account paths, tested on phones and desktops, with accessibility checked as each screen is designed.
  4. 04Build and integrationsWe build the platform, connect payments, Direct Debit, address lookup, accounting and your dispatch or network systems, and set up roles for head office, depots and franchises.
  5. 05Pilot depotOne depot goes live first. We watch bookings, payments and allocations closely, fix issues and adjust prices before the platform is opened to the wider network.
  6. 06Staged rolloutRemaining depots join in planned stages, old websites are redirected to protect search rankings, and depot teams are trained on video calls before their switch-over.

Technology

What we build this with.

National platforms are usually built on Laravel or Next.js with a PostgreSQL database and a separate admin, hosted in the UK or EU. Payments, Direct Debit and address lookup run through established UK providers, connected by their APIs.

Questions about national courier booking platforms

Through pricing zones you control, built into every quote.

We set up zones for areas such as the Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly and other offshore locations, based on postcode areas and districts you define. Each zone can carry its own rate, surcharge, transit time and service options, or be excluded. Because these charges are mandatory for those addresses, they are included in the first price the sender sees. Head office can edit zones in the admin when carriers or partners change their own charges, without a developer.
