A national booking and payment platform for UK pest control networks.

Codeeo handles pest control booking website development in the UK for operators who sell treatments in more than one region: multi-branch firms, franchise and licensee networks, and national brands with a central contact team. We build one booking and payment platform that routes each order to the right branch, prices it by area, takes payment under UK rules and gives head office a single view of every visit, refund and plan, from Cornwall to the Highlands.

Running bookings across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland is not the same as running them in one town. Wildlife licensing, glue trap rules and even the Welsh language differ by nation, and the platform has to respect those differences without becoming four separate websites.

Built for
Pest control groups, franchise networks, regional firms opening new depots and national brands that sell domestic and small business treatments online across the UK.
Typical timeline
The rollout order is agreed in discovery: usually a pilot region first, then further branches in waves, with each wave dated in the written scope before work on it starts.
What you own
The whole platform, including source code, cloud and payment accounts, branch and franchisee settings, customer and transaction records, and every domain, held in your group's accounts.

What the platform does

One checkout, many branches, four nations.

A national pest brand has two customers at once. The member of the public wants to book a treatment near them in a few taps and pay without fuss. The branch or franchisee wants work that fits their diary, at prices they can deliver, with money reaching them on time. Head office sits between the two and needs everything reported in one place.

Our pest control online booking system development in the UK is built around that triangle. Customers see one brand and one checkout. Behind it, territory rules decide which branch receives the booking, branch calendars decide which slots appear, and the payment setup decides how revenue, refunds and any franchise fees are recorded. Each layer can be changed by the people responsible for it without a developer.

Explain your project
  • Territory routing

Postcode territories map each booking to a branch or franchisee. Overlaps, shared areas and gaps are handled by rules you control: nearest depot, first available, or a central team callback when no branch covers the address. Territory maps can be redrawn by head office as branches open, merge or change hands, and existing customers follow the new boundaries automatically.

Every booking reaches someone who can actually do the job.

  • Branch level pricing and services

Head office sets the national treatment catalogue; each branch switches on the services it offers and, where you allow it, adjusts prices within limits. A rural depot without bed bug heat equipment simply does not show that treatment.

Customers only buy what their local branch delivers.

  • Payments routed to the right account

For company owned branches, payments land in one group account with branch tagging. For franchise networks, connected accounts can send each payment to the franchisee with fees recorded separately. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Open Banking pay by bank are all supported.

Money is in the right place without month end reconciliation.

  • Nation aware treatment rules

Glue boards for rodents can only be used in England under a Natural England licence, and Wales and Scotland have their own bans. Bird work relies on general licences that differ between Natural England, NatureScot and Natural Resources Wales. The platform hides or adjusts treatments by nation so nothing illegal is sold.

The catalogue stays lawful wherever the customer lives.

  • Welsh language pages

For branches in Wales, treatment pages, checkout text and confirmations can be offered in Welsh as well as English, with customers choosing their language once and keeping it for every message.

Welsh speaking customers book in the language they prefer.

  • Recurring plans and Direct Debit

Household and small business protection plans can be sold nationally and serviced locally. Recurring payment runs by stored card or Direct Debit, with renewal notices and online cancellation built in, ready to adapt when the subscription contract rules in the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act arrive, expected in 2027.

Plan income grows without new admin at each branch.

  • Central contact team console

Your contact team can book on behalf of a caller using the same availability and prices as the website, take payment by secure link sent to the customer's phone, and see which branch will attend. Calls that end without a booking can be logged with a reason, giving head office a clear picture of demand the network is not yet able to serve.

Phone and web bookings follow identical rules.

  • Competence shown at the point of sale

UK customers increasingly ask who will be handling rodenticides and insecticides in their home. Each branch profile can show its technicians' qualifications and trade body membership, such as BPCA or NPTA, and the booking confirmation names the qualified person attending. Head office keeps those records current from one screen, so an expired certificate never sits on a live page.

Buyers trust the visit before they pay for it.

  • Group reporting

Head office sees bookings, revenue, refunds, cancellations and plan numbers by branch, region and treatment. Branch managers see only their own figures. Exports feed your finance system and any franchise fee calculation. Reports can be scheduled to arrive by email each Monday, so regional managers see last week before their first call.

One version of the numbers across the whole network.

  • Role based admin

Permissions separate head office, regional managers, branch coordinators and technicians. Each sees the customers, bookings and payments they need and nothing else, and every refund or price change is logged with the person who made it.

Customer data and money stay under control as the network grows.

Who this is for

Four national situations we design for.

The national picture changes what a booking site has to be. A single town firm needs a calendar; a network needs routing, permissions, payment splits and reporting. These are the four situations UK operators most often bring to us, each with a different starting point for the first release. Many groups fit two of them at once, for example a franchise network that also runs a central phone team, and the platform is designed so those pieces share one engine instead of being bolted together later.

01

Franchise and licensee networks

Franchisees want their own diary and their own money; the franchisor wants brand control and visibility. Connected payment accounts, territory rules and per franchisee settings give both sides what they need. We also build onboarding for new franchisees, so adding a territory is a form and a review rather than a development project. When a franchise changes hands, its customers, plans and booking history pass to the new owner without breaking any renewal.

New territories go live from the admin.

02

Regional firms opening new depots

A firm that grew in one county and now has depots in two more needs its booking site to stop behaving like a single diary. We split coverage by depot, keep shared customers in one record and give each depot manager their own view, while the website still presents one brand. Depots in different nations get the right treatment catalogue automatically, so a new site in Wales does not accidentally sell something only permitted in England.

03

National brands with a central contact team

Where most demand arrives through a national phone number and paid search, the website and the contact team must offer the same slots and prices. The console and the public checkout use one engine, so a customer who starts online and finishes on the phone gets the same answer. Paid search landing pages can pass the campaign and region into the booking, so marketing spend is measured against paid orders rather than clicks.

04

Groups formed by acquisition

Groups that have bought several local firms often inherit several websites, booking tools and payment accounts. We consolidate them onto one platform, migrate customers and open bookings, and redirect old domains so local search visibility carries over rather than disappearing on launch day. Former owners' payment accounts are closed down in an agreed order, after their last refunds and renewals have been handled.

Old domains are redirected, not abandoned.

How a UK wide booking platform is rolled out.

  1. 01Network discoveryRemote sessions with head office, finance and two or three branch managers map territories, services, prices, payment flows and reporting needs across the network.
  2. 02Platform designTerritory logic, permissions, payment routing and the national catalogue are designed before the public pages, since every branch depends on them.
  3. 03Pilot region buildThe public site, checkout, admin and payments are built and launched in one pilot region, so real bookings test the rules before the wider network relies on them.
  4. 04Branch onboardingFurther branches join in waves: coverage, services, staff and calendars are set up, coordinators are trained by video call and test bookings run in each area.
  5. 05Migration and redirectsCustomer records, open bookings and plans move from older systems, and legacy domains and pages are redirected to keep their search history.
  6. 06Network wide improvementGroup reporting shows where checkouts fail, which branches run short of slots and which treatments sell, and that evidence sets the next release.

Technology

What we build this with.

National platforms usually suit a headless build, with a Next.js front end, a custom booking service and a payment provider that supports connected accounts, such as Stripe Connect. Integrations to CRM, finance and job software are chosen during discovery, along with hosting in a UK or EU region if your data policy requires it.

Questions UK operators ask about a national booking platform.

Routing, permissions and payment splits do most of the extra work.

A single firm needs a catalogue, a calendar and a checkout. A network also needs territory rules, branch and franchisee settings, payments that land in the right account, role based admin and group reporting. Those layers take more planning than the public pages, which is why we design them first and prove them in a pilot region before inviting every branch to rely on them. Cost and timing follow the same logic: the more branches, payment models and integrations in scope, the larger the programme, and a narrow pilot keeps the first commitment small.
