New York insurance websites that win clients and stand up to DFS scrutiny.

Codeeo delivers insurance website development New York brokers, agencies and MGAs need to compete across the five boroughs, Long Island and Westchester. We build sites that explain coverage clearly, collect quote and service requests securely, and route them to licensed staff. The build follows the Department of Financial Services cybersecurity regulation, the New York SHIELD Act and the producer compensation disclosure rule, so marketing and compliance pull in the same direction from launch.

This is a website project: content, search visibility, quote requests and client service pages. Policyholder apps are a separate service. Here we concentrate on the site that most New York buyers see first, usually on a phone between subway stops.

What goes into the site

Built for New York buyers, New York buildings and New York rules.

New York is unusual in two ways that shape an insurance website. First, the buyers: renters and co-op shareholders far outnumber single family homeowners in the city, small businesses run on tight margins in expensive space, and households speak dozens of languages. Second, the regulator: the Department of Financial Services treats licensed agents and brokers as covered entities under its cybersecurity regulation, Part 500, unless an exemption applies. A quote form that collects nonpublic information is therefore part of your security program, not just a marketing tool.

So we plan content and controls together. Page structure follows the policies New Yorkers actually buy. Forms collect the minimum, encrypt everything and send data to systems covered by your security policies. Hosting, form and analytics vendors are listed so you can include them in your third party service provider oversight. These are the components we typically build.

Explain your project
  • Renters, co-op and condo pages

Separate pages for renters, co-op shareholders and condo unit owners, explaining what the building's master policy usually covers and what the resident must insure themselves. Forms ask for building type, borough and lease or proof of insurance requirements from a landlord or board, which is often why the visitor is searching in the first place.

Apartment dwellers find cover that matches their building.

  • Co-op and condo board section

Boards and managing agents buy building property, liability and directors and officers coverage. A dedicated section speaks to board treasurers and property managers, explains renewal timing and the documents a broker needs, and offers a meeting request form that captures unit count, construction and recent losses.

Board business arrives with a complete submission picture.

  • Contractor liability pages

New York's Labor Law Section 240, often called the scaffold law, places strict liability on owners and contractors for certain height related injuries, so contractors here shop general liability and umbrella cover with care. We build trade specific pages and a certificate request flow for the constant demand from general contractors and building owners.

Contractors see a broker who knows their exposures.

  • Producer compensation disclosure

Regulation 194 requires producers to give purchasers an initial disclosure about their role and compensation, and it applies to sales by internet as well as phone and mail. We place your approved disclosure where buyers will see it before a sale and add a simple way to request compensation details.

Disclosures are visible and consistent on every quote path.

  • Part 500 aware forms and admin

Forms send data over encrypted connections into systems your security policy covers, not into a shared mailbox. The CMS and form dashboards use multi factor authentication, role based access and audit logs, and we document data flows so your CISO or outside security consultant can include the site in risk assessments.

The website fits inside your cybersecurity program.

  • Multilingual borough content

Agencies in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx often serve clients in Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Korean or Bengali. We build properly tagged language versions of key pages, written by people who know insurance terms, and route enquiries to staff who speak each language.

Neighborhood clients can read and act in their first language.

  • Small business package pages

Restaurants, retail shops, salons and professional offices across the city buy business owners policies, workers compensation, disability benefits and commercial auto. We write pages around each business type, with a short form that captures class, payroll band and location, so a producer can quote without a long back and forth.

Small business owners get to a quote in a few minutes.

  • Client service center

A service area where existing clients request ID cards, policy changes, additional insureds, address updates or a call back, each through its own short form. Requests open tickets in your service queue with the policy number attached, so CSRs handle them in order instead of hunting through voicemail and email threads across several offices in New York.

Service requests are tracked from arrival to completion.

  • Office and coverage area pages

Firms with offices in the Financial District, Midtown, Flushing or Garden City get a page per office, with team, directions and the areas each office covers. Details match your Google Business Profile and structured data, so map results and organic listings agree.

Every real office shows up for searches nearby.

  • Breach ready data handling

The SHIELD Act requires reasonable safeguards and breach notification for New York residents' private information. We keep sensitive fields out of logs and analytics, set retention periods for form data, and give you a clear inventory of where submissions are stored, which makes any incident response faster.

You know exactly what the site holds and where.

Who this is for

New York insurance firms we typically build for.

Insurance website design New York firms need depends on who walks through the door, virtually or otherwise. A Midtown benefits consultancy, a Flushing agency writing auto and homeowners in three languages and a Long Island wholesaler share a regulator but very little else. We begin with your buyers, your lines and your security obligations, then plan pages and forms from there. Many firms combine two of the profiles below, and the plan simply joins the relevant sections.

01

A Manhattan commercial or benefits broker

Your clients are companies choosing a broker for property, casualty, executive risk or employee benefits. They read your industry pages and team bios before taking a meeting. We build sector pages, practice leader profiles, a resources library your team can publish to and a meeting request flow that asks qualifying questions. The site reflects your positioning against much larger national brokers competing for the same accounts.

Thought leadership only works if your team can publish it easily.

02

A multilingual borough agency

You write auto, renters, homeowners and small business cover for neighborhood clients who often prefer another language. The site must be quick on a phone, clear about where your office is and what you write, and simple to use in each language you serve. We build compact, fast pages with language specific forms that go to the right staff member.

03

A suburban agency in Long Island or Westchester

Your book leans toward homeowners, high value homes, boats and commuters' auto. Coastal homeowners ask about flood and windstorm cover. We build pages for those lines, an intake form that captures property details and prior losses, and content explaining flood options in plain language, all connected to your management system.

Flood content is reviewed by your producers before publishing.

04

An MGA or wholesaler serving retail agents

Retail agents need your appetite, submission requirements and a quick route to appointment. We build program pages, a gated agent area with forms and guidelines, and an appointment request flow. Because agent logins handle nonpublic information, access control, multi factor authentication and audit logging are designed in from the start.

Our six step process for New York insurance websites.

  1. 01Discovery and risk reviewBy video call we map your lines, buyers, languages and systems, and review which Part 500 and SHIELD Act controls the site and its vendors must support.
  2. 02Information architecturePages for lines, building types, business types, offices and languages are planned, with disclosures and consent points marked on every quote path.
  3. 03Content and approvalsWe draft copy with your producers and route disclosure and privacy text through your compliance contact, keeping a record of who approved each version.
  4. 04Design and developmentMobile first design, then a build on the agreed CMS with encrypted forms, multi factor login for editors, integrations and analytics configured.
  5. 05Security and accessibility testingWe test forms, access controls, headers and vulnerability scans, and check pages against WCAG criteria for keyboard use, contrast and screen readers.
  6. 06Launch, redirects and handoverOld URLs redirect to new ones, search console and analytics are verified, your editors are trained, and we document the vendor list for your oversight file.

Technology

What we build this with.

We pick the stack with your security policies in mind. A hardened WordPress build suits many agencies; a headless Next.js front end with a separate CMS suits firms wanting a smaller attack surface and agent portals. Hosting region, backups and vendors are agreed with you, and every account sits in your firm's name.

Questions New York insurance firms ask us.

Secure forms, access controls, vendor records and correct disclosures.

If your firm is a covered entity under Part 500, the website, its admin logins and its vendors belong in your cybersecurity program. That means encrypted submissions, multi factor authentication for editors and form dashboards, limited access, logging and a vendor list for third party oversight. On the content side, your Regulation 194 disclosure and any advertising wording your compliance lead requires should appear on quote paths. Small firms may qualify for limited exemptions, which your counsel should confirm before we size the controls.
