Pest control apps that keep Los Angeles notices, reports and routes in order.

We handle pest control app development Los Angeles companies use to run Branch 2 and Branch 3 work under California's Structural Pest Control Act. The technician app produces the written notice before treatment, the job record feeds the monthly pesticide use report for the county, and the customer app lets tenants and owners book, pay and see exactly what was applied. It is built for licensed operators who want compliance handled by the workflow rather than by a clerk at month end.

Los Angeles is a hard place to run a route. Drywood termites in older hillside homes, rodents in dense apartment blocks, ants in every kitchen and freeway traffic that can swallow an afternoon all compete for the same trucks. Good software decides which of those problems gets solved first. We help you choose and then build it.

What the app can include

Built for the way California regulates structural pest work.

California is one of the most closely regulated states for structural pest control. The Structural Pest Control Board licenses companies and individuals by branch: Branch 1 for fumigation, Branch 2 for general pests and Branch 3 for termites and other wood destroying pests. Section 8538 of the Business and Professions Code requires a clear written notice to the owner and tenants before work, naming the target pest and the pesticides with their active ingredients. Companies must also register with the Los Angeles County Agricultural Commissioner/Weights and Measures before working in the county and file a pesticide use report each month, including a negative report when nothing was used.

The features below are chosen so that each of those obligations becomes a field the technician fills in or a document the system produces. We prioritize them by the risk and the hours they currently cost your office. Everything the system produces is a draft your licensed operator can check, because responsibility for compliance stays with the license holder.

Explain your project
  • Section 8538 notice generator

When a job is booked or a contract changes, the app builds the written notice from the planned pests and products, adds the state required consumer wording and sends it by email, text link or printable copy. A new notice is triggered automatically when a new pest, new product or new frequency is added.

Notices go out before application, with a timestamp to prove it.

  • Monthly use report builder

Every application logged in the field rolls up into a monthly summary by product and registration number, ready for your office to check, stamp and submit to the county Agricultural Commissioner by the deadline. Months with no use in a county produce the negative report too.

Month end reporting takes minutes, not a lost day.

  • Branch and license checks

Each technician profile carries their license type and branch. The dispatcher cannot assign a termite inspection to someone without Branch 3 authority, and scope rules flag jobs such as gopher control that fall outside a Branch 2 license and belong under separate agricultural licensing.

Work only goes to people licensed to do it.

  • WDO inspection and escrow workflow

Termite inspections tied to home sales need diagrams, findings, separated sections and fast turnaround for agents and escrow officers. Inspectors draw the structure on a tablet, attach photos to each finding and generate the report, while the office tracks filing of each inspection with the Board.

Reports reach agents before escrow deadlines tighten.

  • Fumigation job coordination

Tent fumigations involve occupants leaving, food and medicine bagging, warning signs, crew scheduling and clearance before re-entry. The app gives occupants a checklist and reminders in their language and gives the crew a sequence they cannot skip.

Fewer delayed tents caused by unprepared occupants.

  • Rodent exclusion estimates

Roof rats are a familiar problem in Los Angeles neighborhoods with mature trees and older homes. Technicians photograph entry points, mark them on a simple roof and wall sketch, and turn the findings into an itemized exclusion estimate the homeowner can approve and pay a deposit on from their phone.

Exclusion work is sold on the visit instead of days later.

  • Multilingual customer messages

Angelenos read notices in Spanish, Korean, Armenian, Chinese, Tagalog and more. The customer app and message templates support the languages your customers use, while the legal notice wording is kept accurate in each version you approve.

Tenants understand what is happening in their unit.

  • Traffic aware scheduling

A route that looks short on a map can take hours on the 405 or the 10. The planner uses live travel times to cluster stops, for example keeping one truck in the San Fernando Valley and another on the Westside, and gives customers an honest arrival window.

Technicians spend the day treating, not sitting in traffic.

  • Restaurant and multifamily portals

Restaurant owners preparing for county health inspections and property managers with hundreds of units get their own portal with service history, trap maps, open issues and downloadable reports, so they stop phoning your office for paperwork. Homeowners get a lighter version of the same app, where they can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through a PCI DSS compliant processor.

Commercial clients serve themselves, and renew more easily.

  • Privacy controls under the CCPA

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives residents rights over their personal information when a business meets its thresholds. We build consent records, data request handling, retention settings and role based access so you can respond properly if those duties apply.

Customer data requests are answered from one place.

Who this is for

Where a custom app pays off for LA operators.

Los Angeles County holds every kind of pest business, from single truck operators in the South Bay to companies running fumigation crews across the basin. The right first release depends on whether your money comes from homes, real estate transactions, commercial kitchens or large apartment portfolios. These are the four situations we see most often. In each case, the aim of the first release is the same: take repeat paperwork off your office and give customers fewer reasons to call.

01

Termite companies living on real estate deals

When most of your revenue starts with an inspection ordered by an agent, speed and report quality decide who gets the next call. We build the inspection app, report generator and agent portal first, with clear status for each address from inspection through completion, so agents in Pasadena or Silver Lake can see progress without phoning. Agents can also order a reinspection or a completion certificate from the same portal.

Report quality is your marketing in this segment.

02

General pest firms with recurring residential plans

For Branch 2 businesses, the value is in renewals and fewer callbacks. Automated scheduling, the written notice handled by the app, a simple customer app for rebooking and payment, and reminders that respect consent rules keep the plan running without extra office staff. Seasonal ant and spider plans can be paused and resumed by the customer, which cuts cancellations.

03

Commercial specialists serving kitchens and warehouses

Restaurants in Koreatown and Downtown, food plants in Vernon and warehouses near the ports need documentation their own inspectors accept. Barcode stations, sighting logs, corrective actions and a client portal turn each visit into a report the client can hand straight to an auditor. Reports are branded with your company name, so they reinforce your reputation with every audit.

04

Operators expanding across Southern California

Moving into Orange, Riverside or Ventura County means registering with each county's Agricultural Commissioner and filing reports per county. We design the system so each branch and county is tracked separately, with consolidated reporting for owners. Licenses, branches and county registrations live in one admin view, with reminders before anything lapses.

County by county reporting is built in from day one.

Six stages from first call to a working Los Angeles app.

  1. 01Process review by videoWe meet your office manager, a lead technician and an inspector by video call and follow real jobs, notices and reports from start to finish. We also review any software you already pay for.
  2. 02Rule by rule mappingEach California requirement you raise, such as the written notice or the monthly report, is tied to a screen and a field, then confirmed by your licensed operator. Gaps the board or county might question are flagged early.
  3. 03Design for crews and customersPrototypes for technicians, inspectors, office staff and customers are tested in each language you serve before any production code is written. Hillside and apartment scenarios are both tested.
  4. 04Iterative buildWe deliver in short cycles, starting with whichever app relieves the most pressure, and you review working software at every demo. Priorities can shift between demos if your season changes.
  5. 05Live trialA small group runs real routes and real escrow inspections. We fix what they report, then train the wider team in short recorded sessions. Escrow agents are invited to test the portal too.
  6. 06Release and supportStore submission, data migration from your old system and ongoing updates as rules, products and your service mix change. Each release note explains changes in plain language for staff.

Questions LA pest control companies ask us.

We quote after discovery, based on what you actually need.

The main factors are how many apps are involved, whether you need an escrow inspection module or fumigation coordination, how many languages the customer side supports, integrations with accounting and routing tools, and how much history you want migrated. Reporting depth and the number of counties you work in also matter. Once the scope is written, the quote follows from it. We break the work into releases, so you can start with the part that pays back fastest.
