Booking apps for yacht charters on the Hudson and New York Harbor.

Yacht booking app development New York charter companies need looks different from anywhere else in the country, because the water is one of the busiest harbors in the world. We build apps that sell skyline cruises, Statue of Liberty runs and corporate charters leaving Chelsea Piers, North Cove Marina or the East River, then assign a credentialed captain and crew, collect each guest's waiver, take deposits and handle refunds when wind or a harbor closure stops the sailing.

Codeeo is a team of 80+ based in Dubai, Riyadh and Karachi, with 200+ projects delivered across the UAE and the US. We do not have a New York office. We work remotely with clients in the city, holding discovery, design reviews and demos by video call.

Core features

Features shaped by a crowded harbor and a corporate calendar.

Manhattan charters are sold to two very different buyers. Companies in Midtown and the Financial District book months ahead for client evenings, summer parties and team events, and they want quotes, invoices and changing guest lists. Visitors and couples book days ahead for a sunset sail past the Statue of Liberty or a proposal under the Brooklyn Bridge, and they want a fast checkout on a phone. Both groups end up on the same small set of yachts, piers and captains. The app has to keep those resources from colliding, respect the passenger limits of each vessel, and cope with a harbor where ferries, tugs and security zones shape every route. These are the features we most often build for New York operators.

Explain your project
  • Pier based departures

Each yacht has a home pier and, where you allow it, alternative pickup points such as a New Jersey marina across the river. Guests see the departure point, walking directions from the nearest subway, check-in time and what to bring, and the crew sees exactly who is boarding where.

Guests find the right pier, and the yacht leaves on time.

  • Corporate quotes and invoicing

Event planners request a quote with date, head count, catering and bar package. Your team approves it, the client signs, and staged invoices follow with purchase order numbers and company billing details. Approved quotes become bookings without rekeying anything.

Corporate events move from enquiry to deposit without email chains.

  • Guest list management

Corporate hosts upload a list or invite guests by link, change names until your cutoff, and track who has signed. Each guest signs their waiver, gives an emergency contact and confirms age where alcohol is served, and the crew boards from the final manifest.

A clean, current manifest for every corporate sailing.

  • Captain, mate and event crew rostering

Licensed captains, deckhands, bartenders and servers are scheduled per sailing. The system tracks Coast Guard credentials and their expiry, drug testing program enrollment and the crew size each vessel needs, and lets crew accept or trade shifts from their phones.

Every sailing is crewed with people cleared for that vessel.

  • Vessel capacity rules

Six passenger yachts and inspected vessels are configured separately, each with the limit it may legally carry for hire. Public seat sales, private charters and corporate bookings all draw from the same limit, so a busy evening cannot oversell a boat. Crew minimums scale with the head count you set for each vessel, and the dashboard shows remaining space per sailing at a glance.

Capacity is enforced across every sales channel.

  • Harbor and weather holds

High wind, poor visibility or a temporary security zone can cancel or reroute a sailing. Operations places a hold, the app notifies each booking with the reason, and guests choose a new time, a credit or a refund within the policy they accepted. Corporate hosts can be called by your team from the same screen when an evening event has to move.

Disruption handled once, in minutes, for every guest affected.

  • Deposits, payments and refunds

Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay for visitors; deposits plus invoice balances for companies. Payments run through a PCI DSS compliant processor and refunds go back to the original method automatically, with every adjustment logged against the booking. Corporate clients can pay balances by invoice while visitors pay in full at checkout.

Clean books, even in a season of weather changes.

  • Route and itinerary options

Hudson sunset, harbor and Statue of Liberty loop, East River bridges, or a longer private charter: each route has its own duration, minimum crew and eligible yachts, with seasonal routes switched on and off from the dashboard. Routes can carry notes for the captain, such as preferred photo stops near Liberty Island or a slower pass under the bridges.

Clear products guests can compare and book quickly.

  • Public seat sales on scheduled sailings

Some New York operators sell individual seats on a fixed sunset or fireworks sailing as well as whole yacht charters. The app sells tickets by seat count, closes sales when the vessel limit is reached, issues a scannable boarding pass, and lets the crew check guests in at the pier gate without paper lists.

Shared sailings fill without overselling or queues at the gate.

  • Operations and finance dashboard

Bookings by pier, vessel and route, crew costs, holds and refund totals, deposits awaiting balance and quotes waiting for signature. Exports go to your accounting tool so month end is not a reconciliation exercise. Managers can filter by week to see which piers and routes carry the season.

A daily picture of the fleet and the money.

Who this is for

New York charter businesses we build for.

The charter market around Manhattan includes small sailing operators, motor yacht owners with one or two boats, event companies with large inspected vessels, and brokers who sell other people's boats. They share the same harbor and the same weather but very different sales and crew problems. These are the four profiles we see most, and how the first release changes for each. Many businesses fit more than one profile, and the app can grow to cover both.

01

Event yacht companies

Your vessels host weddings, product launches and company parties. You need quotes, contracts, staged payments, catering selections and large crews, often on the same night across several boats. The first release focuses on quote to booking, guest lists and crew rostering, then adds a client portal so planners can manage everything without calling your sales team. Large events often need several payment milestones, which the app tracks automatically.

Built around quotes, guest lists and crews.

02

Private yacht charter operators

You run one to a few motor yachts from a Manhattan or Jersey City marina, selling private two to four hour charters. The app centers on direct booking with wallet payments, passenger waivers and a captain view, plus sync with the marketplace listings you still use so the calendar stays right. Reviews requested after each trip help you win more direct bookings over time.

Direct booking without marketplace clashes.

03

Sailing schools and sailing charters

Sailing operators mix captained sails, lessons and member outings. Wind matters more than for motor yachts, so the hold and reschedule flow gets extra attention, and member accounts track lesson progress and credits alongside ordinary bookings. Instructors and skippers get their own schedule view with the day's students and boats.

Wind sensitive scheduling and member credits.

04

Charter brokers

You sell trips on yachts you do not own. A broker app shows live availability from owner calendars, handles commissions and passes guest details and waivers to the operating crew. We plan with your lawyer how the booking describes who operates the vessel, so the paperwork matches reality. Owners see bookings on their yacht as soon as they are confirmed.

Owner calendars, commissions and clear roles.

Questions New York operators ask us first.

Scope, integrations and the number of sales channels, more than screen count.

A private charter operator with direct booking, waivers and deposits needs far less than an event company with quotes, staged invoices, guest lists and large crews. Integrations with accounting tools, marketplace calendars and catering suppliers add work, as do partner portals and bilingual content. We explain the drivers in discovery and price the agreed scope in writing. Timing for New York launches also matters: starting the build late in spring can leave little room before the summer peak.
