A storefront as fast as a product site, checkout kept.

Headless commerce for brands whose template is the limit: a Next.js storefront in front of Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom back end, with the catalogue, cart and checkout left to the platform and the experience owned by you.
For stores where speed, search and a specific experience matter more than the convenience of a theme.

Brands and retailers with volume or ambition beyond what a theme can express.
Typical timeline
Eight to fourteen weeks for a storefront on an existing platform.

What you get

What a headless commerce build covers.

The storefront, the platform behind it, and the glue that keeps cart, stock and checkout honest. Clients come to us for headless commerce when the theme can no longer do what the brand needs, and a headless storefront can.
Explain your project
  • Next.js storefronts

Product, collection, search and content pages rendered on the server, with the speed and SEO of a product site.

A store that loads instantly and ranks.

  • Shopify Storefront API

Catalogue, cart and checkout from Shopify through its APIs, so the platform still owns orders and payments.

    Custom front end, Shopify checkout.

  • Custom commerce back ends

Where a platform does not fit, a NestJS or Laravel back end for catalogue, stock and orders, with payments by webhook.

Commerce logic that fits the business exactly.

  • Content and commerce together

A headless CMS for editorial content beside the catalogue, so campaigns and products live on the same page.

Marketing pages and products in one experience.

  • Search and personalisation

Fast search, filters and recommendations on an index rather than on the database.

Customers find products in a keystroke.

  • Stock, courier and promise

Real stock and courier availability checked together before a slot or a price is shown.

You never promise what cannot be delivered.

Who this is for

Three stores that justify going headless.

Headless costs more than a theme and pays back only in certain situations. These are them. A headless storefront on Shopify Hydrogen keeps Shopify's checkout while the front end becomes fully yours.
01

The theme is the ceiling

Every feature fights the template. A custom storefront gives the experience the brand wants, with the platform underneath.

Experience without limits.

02

Speed and search are the business

Organic traffic and conversion depend on load time. Server rendered pages on an edge network change both.

Speed as a strategy.

03

Content and commerce in one place

Editorial, campaigns and products belong on the same pages. A CMS beside the catalogue makes that normal.

Stories that sell.

Four steps to a headless storefront.

  1. 01Decide what stays on the platformCatalogue, cart, checkout and orders usually stay on Shopify or WooCommerce. We draw the line before design.
  2. 02Design the storefrontPages and components are designed as a product site, with the commerce flows mapped onto the platform APIs.
  3. 03Build and integrateThe storefront is built on Next.js, connected to the platform, the CMS and search, and tested with real orders.
  4. 04Launch and measureRedirects, analytics and performance budgets at launch, with conversion measured and improved on a retainer.

THE GORGEOUS FLOWER

A Dubai florist with free same day delivery on orders by 5 PM, and a delivery date and window chosen at checkout.

Same day florists live or die on the cut-off. The Gorgeous Flower Co checkout asks for a delivery date and one of three windows with the current UAE time shown, pins the recipient on a map and carries a gift message on every bouquet, with loyalty points and subscriptions to bring customers back.

Questions people ask before going headless.

Only if the theme is holding back speed, search or experience.

For a simple catalogue a theme is cheaper and fine. Headless pays back when speed is a strategy, the brand needs its own experience, or content and commerce have to live together.
