A 90-day B2B content marketing strategy for UAE companies: sales interviews first, one topic cluster built to Google’s helpful content questions, LinkedIn and sales-inbox distribution, and measurement by enquiries.

A B2B content marketing strategy for a UAE company is a 90-day build, not a publishing schedule. In the first month you write down who buys, which questions they ask before they call, and what the sales team already answers by email. In the second you publish one cluster of pages that answers those questions better than the top results do. In the third you put that cluster in front of buyers on LinkedIn and in the sales inbox, and you measure it by enquiries and pipeline rather than page views. Below is the plan we use with Dubai firms that sell to other businesses, with the Google and survey sources it rests on.
Key takeaways
- Google’s helpful content guidance, last updated on 5 October 2026, asks whether a page provides “original information, reporting, research, or analysis” and whether it is “written or reviewed by an expert or enthusiast who demonstrably knows the topic well”. A B2B strategy that cannot say yes to both is a publishing schedule, not a strategy.
- Google’s AI features page, last updated 10 December 2025, says there are “no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode” beyond being indexed and eligible for a snippet, so one cluster built for buyers serves classic search and AI answers at once.
- The 16th annual Content Marketing Institute and MarketingProfs survey of more than 1,000 B2B marketers, released 8 October 2025, found nine in ten already use AI to produce content while fewer than four in ten say it improved performance. Volume is not the gap.
- The same survey found 96 percent of organisations create thought leadership and that in many of them fewer than 5 percent of employees contribute. The founder and the two senior people who close deals are the content team.
- Arabic belongs in the plan as a selection decision per page, with hreflang annotations so Google treats the two versions as alternates rather than duplicates.
- The measurement that matters is a key event in Google Analytics 4 tied to a contact form, a WhatsApp click or a call, read next to the CRM, not sessions.
What a B2B buyer in the UAE actually reads before contacting you
Business buyers here research in a particular way. A procurement manager at a Jebel Ali trading company, a clinic group’s operations director in Jumeirah, a finance lead at a DIFC fund: each has to justify a supplier choice to someone else, so they look for pages that help them build that justification. They search for a comparison, a cost range, a compliance question, a checklist, and they open the LinkedIn profile of the person who wrote it.
That is why Google’s guidance reads like a buyer’s checklist. The helpful content page asks whether content provides “insightful analysis or interesting information that is beyond the obvious”, whether it has “any easily-verified factual errors”, and whether it is “self-evident to your visitors who authored your content”. It also asks, under “How”, whether “the use of automation, including AI-generation” is “self-evident to visitors through disclosures or in other ways”. Those are the questions a cautious UAE buyer asks too, just in different words.
One issue we often see on Dubai B2B sites is a blog of forty short posts with no author, no numbers, and no connection to what the sales team says on calls. It ranks for nothing, and when a prospect does land on it, nothing on the page moves them toward a conversation. The 90-day plan below replaces that with fewer pages that do more work.
Days 1 to 15, write down what you already know
Start with the sales team, not a keyword tool. Ask the two or three people who close deals to list the questions they answer by email in the first week of every relationship. For a managed IT provider in Dubai Internet City that list usually includes licensing costs, data residency, what happens at contract end, and how support hours work during Ramadan. For a fit-out contractor it is permits, timelines, payment stages and who holds the design risk. These questions are your topic list, and they are the ones a buyer types into Google at eleven at night before a meeting.
Then check what you already have. Open Google Search Console, set the date range to the last 16 months, and export the queries and pages report. Most companies find two or three pages that already attract impressions for a buyer question but sit on page two, which is the cheapest win in the whole plan. Record the baseline: impressions, clicks and average position for your ten most important queries. You will compare against it on day 90.
Finally, decide who signs the work. Google’s “Who” question is explicit, so each page carries a named author with a role and a LinkedIn profile that matches. If the founder is the person buyers trust, the founder’s name goes on the cornerstone pages, even if a writer drafts them. The survey finding that fewer than 5 percent of staff contribute to thought leadership is a description of most Dubai firms, and the fix is to make contribution a thirty-minute interview rather than a writing task.
Days 16 to 45, build one cluster, not a blog
A cluster is one long page that answers the central buying question in full, surrounded by six to ten shorter pages that each answer one adjacent question and link back. For a company selling ERP implementation in the UAE, the centre is “ERP implementation cost and timeline for UAE mid-sized companies”, and the spokes are corporate tax reporting requirements, VAT invoice formats, data hosting options, change management, licence models, and a comparison of two or three platforms. For a corporate services firm the centre is a free zone comparison and the spokes are the questions in our quarterly B2B content calendar.
Write the centre page first and write it to be lifted. The AI features page says AI Overviews and AI Mode “display a wider and more diverse set of helpful links” and that a page must be “indexed and eligible to be shown in Google Search with a snippet” to appear. In practice that means a direct answer in the first paragraph, a dated figure wherever a figure is claimed, and headings that match the sub-questions. There is no special markup for AI results; the page says so.
Each spoke needs a reason to exist beyond holding a keyword. The test from Google’s guidance is whether the page offers something “beyond the obvious”. A spoke on VAT invoice fields that quotes the Federal Tax Authority’s required fields and shows what a non-compliant invoice from a common accounting package looks like passes. A spoke that restates the top three results does not, and it will not earn a link from the centre page either.
On length, aim for the centre page to be the most complete answer in the market, which in our experience is usually 2,000 to 3,000 words for a buying question, and let spokes be as short as the answer needs. Our content strategy service maps the cluster before anything is written, which is where the arguments about scope should happen.
Arabic is a per-page decision
Most Dubai B2B buyers read English, and most of the decision-makers who approve the purchase at a family group, a government-related entity or a Sharjah manufacturer read Arabic first. The mistake is to translate the whole cluster or none of it. Choose the two or three pages where an Arabic reader is the approver, usually the cost page and the compliance page, and produce an Arabic version written for that reader rather than a word-for-word translation.
The technical side is simple and often done wrong. Google’s localized versions documentation requires each language version to carry hreflang annotations that list itself and every alternate, with an x-default for the fallback. Done that way, Google treats the Arabic and English pages as alternates rather than duplicates. Our note on Arabic and English translation covers the writing side, including why a summary written in Arabic usually outperforms a translated English page.
Days 46 to 75, distribution on LinkedIn and in the sales inbox
Publishing is the halfway point. In the UAE the two channels that reliably put B2B content in front of a buyer are LinkedIn, where the people who approve purchases spend time, and the sales team’s own email, where a page that answers a question is the most useful attachment there is.
On LinkedIn, the pattern that works for a small Dubai firm is a founder post that gives away the most useful part of the page in four or five lines and links to the full page in the first comment or in the post itself, published from the personal profile and reshared by the company page. The company page alone rarely reaches anyone. Document posts made from the page’s table or checklist travel further than a link alone. Paid distribution is a separate decision with its own economics, covered in our post on LinkedIn ads cost per lead in the UAE, and it is rarely the first money to spend.
Sales enablement is the part most content plans skip. Give the sales team a one-line description and a link for every page in the cluster, and ask them to send the relevant page instead of writing the same paragraph again. One useful rule is that any question answered by email twice in a month becomes a page in the next cluster. The survey data on personalisation explains why this matters: 89 percent of organisations say they personalise content, but nearly 60 percent do so in only one or two channels, and 85 percent of those rely on email. For a ten-person firm, a salesperson sending the right page is personalisation that costs nothing.
Days 76 to 90, measure enquiries, not traffic
Traffic is the number that goes up first and means least. The measurements that tell you whether the cluster is working are, in order: impressions and average position for the buyer queries in Search Console compared with the day-15 baseline, key events in Google Analytics 4 from the cluster pages (form submissions, WhatsApp clicks, phone taps), and the number of those enquiries the CRM marks as qualified. Our guide to GA4 conversion setup for a UAE service business covers the key event configuration, including the WhatsApp click most Dubai sites forget.
Search Console will not separate clicks from AI Overviews; Google’s AI features page says such traffic is “included in overall search traffic” under the “Web” search type in the Performance report. So read the query-level trend rather than hunting for an AI line. A buyer query that moves from position 14 to position 6 in ninety days is the signal, and it usually precedes enquiries by a few weeks.
Set the review for day 90 and make it a decision meeting. Pages that gained impressions but no clicks need a better title and first paragraph. Pages that gained clicks but no enquiries need a clearer next step. Pages that did nothing are either the wrong question or a thin answer, and both are fixable in the next cycle.
Where AI fits, and where the survey says it does not
The 2025 survey’s most quoted finding is that nine in ten B2B marketers use AI to produce content while fewer than four in ten say it has improved performance, and that 45 percent named AI tools as a top area for 2026 investment while investment in people ranked last at 9 percent. Read together, that is a market producing more pages with the same amount of knowledge behind them.
The useful split is between research and judgement. AI tools are good at pulling a regulation’s clauses into a table, drafting a structure, and finding the gaps in a competitor’s page. They cannot know that a Dubai clinic group’s real objection to a software vendor is DHA data rules, or that a trading company’s finance manager wants the payment schedule before the feature list. That knowledge sits with the two people who close deals, which is why the interview on day 10 is the most valuable hour in the plan. Google’s guidance asks that automation be self-evident where it is used; a line stating that drafts are produced with AI tools and reviewed by the named author satisfies that and costs nothing.
A 90-day plan on one page
| Window | Work | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1 to 15 | Sales interviews, Search Console export, author decisions | Topic list of 8 to 12 buyer questions, baseline numbers, named authors |
| Days 16 to 45 | Centre page, then six to ten spokes, Arabic versions of two pages | One cluster live with internal links and hreflang |
| Days 46 to 75 | Founder LinkedIn posts, document posts, sales enablement links | Each page sent to at least one prospect, one post per page |
| Days 76 to 90 | Search Console trend, GA4 key events, CRM match | Decision list for the next cycle |
The cadence after day 90 is one new cluster per quarter for most firms with fewer than fifty staff. That is slower than most agencies propose and faster than most companies manage, and it is the pace at which the people who hold the knowledge can keep contributing.
